Eroded karst island, corals (over/under)

This is the first time I ever tried to shoot "over/unders". It involves using a special split diopter on the lens. The diopter has a +2 correction factor in the lower half to enable the lens to focus on objects at similar distances both above and below water. The diopter is also shaded on the upper half to help balance the light. The final ingredient is RainEx, which helps keep water from beading in drops on the surface of the dome.

Raja Empat turned out to be an ideal place to try this, with extensive corals and other marine life in shallow water below stunning karst islands.
