Humpback
whale with swimmers
Megaptera

Cape, South Africa

Both occasions when our people were able to have extended encounters with
whales in the water took place on a single morning. This whale - the second
- continued to lob-tail after the swimmers entered the water, but it
moderated its lob-tailing and seemed to be very careful not to raise or
drop its flukes in the vicinity of swimmers.
