Barramundi cod

Barramundi cod are shy and do not like to be approached too closely. This image demonstrates the ability of the 17-35 lens to pull the image of a shy fish close enough to make a usable portrait. With the wider 12-24 lens, this would have become a reef scenic, with the barramundi lost against the similarly-colored background of leather and soft corals.
