Kruger National Park, located in the northeastern corner of South Africa, covers 20,000 square kms - one of the largest game reserves in the world. I stayed at Buhala Game Lodge, just outside the Park. Vishnu Naidoo showed me the park using Buhala's safari vehicle. A very knowledgeable guide, Vishnu taught me a great deal and was immensely helpful in making some of the photographs below possible.

Hluhluwe and Umfolozi are two adjacent and linked wildlife game reserves in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The Hilltop Camp in Hluhluwe was my base. Hluhluwe offers two short guided trips into the park daily on safari vehicles, but I did most of my photographing from my rental car.

The 80-400 VR lens I used for most of the wildlife photographs below was this year's Christmas present from Sandy, who was in my heart and mind every minute of every day. She would have loved seeing these animals.
