Giraffe

People focused on seeing all the "big five" game animals - lions, leopards, Cape buffalo, elephants and I forget the last one - during their visit to a park in Africa don't seem to get very excited about giraffes. It's true there are a lot of them. But they are incredible animals, wonderful to look at and to watch.

Hard to photograph, however. The roughly 3:2 framesize of a slide or digital image simply isn't ideally designed for animal this long and tall.

No, I don't know what this giraffe is doing. It looks a bit like she is trying to scratch her horn with her ear, but that seems doubtful.
